NEWS
Fermat
Fermat is very unique little math game, has been purchased by a company for production. Scheduled to come out in August at GenCon, 2009.
The name originates from the French mathematician Pierre de Fermat
(1601-1665) who had a broad influence on number theory, the underpinnings of Calculus, and is best known for "Fermat's Last Theorem" which remained unsolved for over 300 years.
Fermat also had a big impact on gaming theory and probability, and sharp minds following in his footsteps can find practical utility in a variety of casino games and puzzles developed and influenced by these laws of mathematics.
Wiz-War
The 8th edition of Wiz-War is still not out. Contract negotiations with a new company are now in work, and current guestimates for release are around 2011. Updates to follow.
Necromaster, Villages, Trickery
Necromaster was picked up by Third World Games a few years back, is still in limbo for now, as is a card-game variation on Villages, picked up by Chessex a few years back. Villages is available for production, if any other company is interested. Trickery, picked up by Playroom Entertainment, is also in limbo. News will be posted as available on these games.
Puzzles:
I still design puzzles, too, and some people produce them. On occasion you can see a couple of them at Eric Fuller's site, Cubic Dissection, although he tends to make very few at a time, so might be sold out of them at any given time. Another puzzle-craftsman is Bernard Schweitzer, in Germany, at Puzzlewood. He has quite a wide selection of puzzles available from many designers.
